UNDERSTANDING YOUR NEEDS

In the design phase, we meet with you to understand what you’re looking for as well as your budget guidelines. It’s also at this point that we discuss how the piece will be worn and used on an everyday basis, or whether it’s more for special occasions. We can make suggestions to you based on years of jewellery experience. Suggestions could include design cues that improve comfort or ’wear-ability’ of the piece, increase the safety (of any gemstones to be used), general fashion/styling thoughts or even tips to achieve greater cost effectiveness. We can also recommend how to take care of and safe-guard your piece.

WE OBSESS OVER QUALITY

Depending on the method of construction, we provide you with sketch concept drawings, utilizing modelling software to create high quality renderings of your custom-made jewellery. This helps you to better conceptualize the design.

Once approved, the design is 3D printed into a wax/resin model. That model is cast in the metal of your choice. Casting is a true science and comes with a host of potential risks and rewards such as porosity, pinholes and cracks.

In addition to using preferred casting houses, our quality control is extremely high and we check every piece of jewellery multiple times throughout the construction process – ensuring the correct size and guaranteeing a strong, uniform casting free of defects. We deliver a superior finished product with confidence.

SET FOR SUCCESS

All of our custom-made jewellery is hand-set locally in Toronto by only the best and most experienced microscope-setters.

Stone setting is a vital component of the jewellery finishing. It involves mapping out and drilling the necessary holes for accent stones to be set, carving out the prongs, setting the stones and adding finishing aesthetics. A superior setter not only creates a piece that looks better, but one that performs better and lasts longer. At Aaron Daniel, we believe it’s what differentiates the best from the rest.

Once set, your jewellery undergoes a final cleaning, polishing and plating, using superior polishers and finishers who understand the care required to properly handle your jewellery. We double and triple-check that the piece we’ve created with you meets the highest standards we’ve set for ourselves.

A STEP ABOVE

Our handmade Jewellery in Toronto is the finest of all. The tools and techniques applied to this craft have remained virtually unchanged over the last century. Tried and true European craftsmanship has resulted in some of the finest handmade jewellery.

The process of handmade jewellery is very different. Raw metal is forged into metal ingots and then rolled out into the desired length and thickness. Rolling metal like this yields a denser metal than jewellery formed in the casting process. This metal wears better and can stand up to scratches, making it great for everyday use.

Another benefit to handmade jewellery is that every wire and surface can be finely cleaned and polished inside and out before being assembled. While these pieces require more time and labour, the results are truly regal.
